Trent Wright
Trent began playing soccer at the age of five in San Antonio, Texas. He played select soccer for several South Texas soccer clubs, and was a member of the South Texas Olympic Development Team. He played soccer at Trinity University before earning a B.S. degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a J.D. degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. After moving to Denton
in 2001, he has actively been involved in coaching, from recreational to competitive levels. He currently holds a USSA/NTSSA "D" coaching license. In 2005, Trent formed Stampede Soccer Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in order to provide North Texas youth the ability to play soccer at the highest level possible without the high monetary costs and high cost of travel that are usually associated with other clubs. Trent is a current Board Member for DSA.
Link Scoggins
Link began playing soccer at the age of three in our own Denton Soccer Association (DSA), Denton, Texas. He played for the Denton High Broncos for all four years of high school. He attended University of Dallas where he was a starting member of the Men’s Soccer team from 2002-2004. In the Spring of 2005, Link transferred to Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, where he was a starting member of the Hardin Simmons Men’s Soccer team. While Link played for Hardin Simmons, they were the ASC Conference Champs and earned a trip to the NCAA Men’s Division III playoffs. His soccer coaching experience includes DSA rec coach, graduate assistant coach for the Hardin Simmons Cowboys, and assistant coach of the Abilene Soccer Club ‘92 girls. Since high school graduation, Link has coached at both the Denton Bronco Soccer Camps and the Hardin Simmons Soccer Camps. Link graduated from Hardin Simmons in 2007 with a degree in Behavorial Sciences, Sports Fitness and Leisure Studies. During the 2008/2009 Seasons, Link coached the '99 Boys Stampede Academy, and both the '99 Boys and Girls Academy Teams and was the Assistant Coach for the '96 Girls Stampede team. Link currently holds a USSF “D” coaching license.
Mike Husbands
Mike currently holds a USSF/NTSSA "D" coaching license and has 12 years experience coaching both boys and girls. While growing up, Mike played 8 seasons for the original Dallas Comets (Comets 68) team in the Dallas Classic League. Mike is also a licensed referee.
Chuck Saling
Chuck has played 12 seasons with the Hawks(’82) soccer club in Lewisville while growing up. He played High School soccer at The Highlands School in Irving and won the state championship twice. He has 17 years of experience as a goalkeeper and has trained many goalkeepers that have gone on to play for their respective Universities. Chuck has 12 years of experience coaching girls and currently hold a USSF/NTSSA “D” license.
